Golf Westchester County
About Us
All six Westchester County’s public golf courses
are open for the 2024 season, weather permitting.
The Department of Parks, Recreation and Conservation operates six, 18-hole golf courses located throughout the county, so you can choose one close to you or have some real fun and fashion your own “golf around Westchester” tour. We’re typically open from mid-March to late fall when weather permits.
Take your best shot as you tackle the straightforward yet challenging layout of Mohansic in Yorktown Heights, our northernmost course. Our newest course, Hudson Hills in Ossining, affords stunning views of the surrounding Hudson Valley and offers challenges to even the most experienced golfers. You might prefer the narrower, sporting layout of Maple Moor in White Plains or the gorgeous, tree-lined Saxon Woods in Scarsdale, where your accuracy is put to the test. Sprain Lake in Yonkers is the course where players from beginner to the highly experienced can all do well and also enjoy spectacular views of a sparkling lake on the property. Dunwoodie, also in Yonkers, challenges regular players and is a great place for anyone new to the game.
All of the courses have restaurants, halfway houses, pro shops and all the amenities. Driving ranges are available at Mohansic, Sprain Lake, Dunwoodie and Saxon Woods.
Golfers may make online reservations up to one week in advance, 24 hours a day. Reservations may also be made by calling the golf course or in person.
Ask us about bringing your corporate outing or league to one of the courses, and about the Hole-in-One Junior Golf Camp that takes place in summer.
The E-Z Reserve program lets golfers with a valid Westchester County Park Pass block out a starting tee time for a series of weeks.
